It’s nice to meet you.

My education:

I completed my undergraduate education at East Carolina University as a double major in Psychology and English. I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington in 2012 with a focus in mental health.

My clinical experience:

In my decade plus of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked in a variety of settings and in a variety of roles including:

  • Sound Mental Health (Seattle, WA) working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

  • University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle, WA) assessing clients presenting in mental health crisis in the emergency department.

  • Wellspring Family Services (Seattle, WA) managing a team of therapists providing services to clients through their Employee Assistance Program.

I opened my full time private practice in February of 2021. I love being a therapist.

My specializations:

I am certified through Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health specialist (PMH-C) meaning I have specialized knowledge of mood and anxiety disorders that occur before, during and after pregnancy. I am also certified as a Bringing Baby Home presenter through the Gottman Institute, which is a workshop for parents to strengthen their relationship following the arrival of a new baby.

A lot of my continuing education focuses on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, which is a go-to therapeutic approach in my practice.

Beyond therapy:

A few of my many identities are: she/her, cisgendered, liberal, mother, and married.

I currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina where I was born and raised but spent 12 years of my adulthood in Seattle and consider myself bicoastal at heart. Hobbies and projects are important to me; I almost always have some sort of work in progress or new pursuit. I enjoy cooking, singing and songwriting, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
